Varmints:
Ward, Helen. 2007, Templar. 'Varmints: part one.'
Varmint's use of typography is in my opinion very clever. The text is built almost seamlessly into the illustrations, the hand rendered type fitting the feel of the story perfectly.
At the start of the book the illustrations are very light a breezy and the type follows that.

As the storyline gets more dramatic, so does the text. The writing becomes more jagged and rough compared to the soft handwriting of the earlier stuff.
